Enterprise Weekly #498: For the Founders, and More
Work-Bench is an enterprise software VC firm leading Seed rounds. If you are or know anyone thinking about founding an enterprise software startup — we’d love to meet! Please reach out to chat. 📩
Yesterday, we brought together our Work-Bench founders for a day of workshopping, dinner, and for the late-night crew…karaoke. The session was led by our advisors, David Politis (founder of BetterCloud, acq. by Vista Equity Partners) and Diego Oppenheimer (founder of Algorithmia, acq. by DataRobot). While the discussions were closed-door, we wanted to share a powerful reminder:
"In the early days, you’ll have to do things that don’t scale—and that’s not just okay, it’s essential. While it might feel inefficient, this hands-on process is what allows you to deeply understand what your customers truly need. One of the most powerful things an early-stage startup can say to a customer is, 'You’re going to help shape this product.’ That’s a level of influence they’d never get from giants like Salesforce or AWS."
This week, Danny also launched cofounders.nyc, a platform and community specifically dedicated to help you find the right cofounder and early team. We promise cofounders.nyc isn’t just another online cofounder matching platform…it's:
In-person community for top operators to connect, learn, and build something new.
NYC-focused with everyone just a subway ride away.
Curated matches of NYC’s top operators across exited founders, engineers, sellers, and more.
Events to jam on ideas, meet potential teammates, and connect with people who’ve been there and done that. Check out the Cofounder & Founding Engineer event on February 3rd – register here.
How it works: Create a profile, browse others on the platform, connect with those aligned with your needs and vision, and get to building. 💪
