When we started Work-Bench 10 years ago, NYC wasn’t an enterprise town, let alone a thriving technical scene. But as we look around the city today, that’s changed dramatically thanks to trailblazers like Datadog, MongoDB, Cockroach Labs, Grafana, Timescale, NS1, and others.
As long-time investors in the Developer Tooling and Infrastructure space, it’s become clear that this category is only gaining momentum and remains resilient against difficult economic climates.
We’ve seen this through our own portfolio company success stories — Cockroach Labs, CoreOS, Backtrace, Scytale, Tilt, and Semmle — as well as the rapid growth of our latest investments — AppMap, Authzed, CloudQuery, Common Fate, FireHydrant, Octane, Shipyard, and Streamdal. Additionally, our NYC Infrastructure Leaders Dinner in February which gathered a mix of 40 mid- and late-stage founders and operators, proved that NYC has matured and is ripe with technical talent.
As we continue our search for the next generation of Developer Tooling and Infrastructure startups building in NYC, we’re excited to kickoff “Infrasummer,” a 12 week blitz of themed events and content!
